I found this 1994 GoldStar VCR in my parents’ attic. GoldStar is a Korean electronics company. In 1995, GoldStar became LG.
The model number of this video cassette player is GVP-C135. I wanted to see if this VCR was still working. It was missing a power cable. I was able to turn it on using my spare adapter. The unit worked perfectly except for eating the tape. It took me two tries. It was a waste of time. Probably some cleaning and tweaking would fix the problem.
I ended up parting out circuit boards and other parts in case anyone needed them. I will recycle the rest of the parts with other electronic devices at a recycling center.
