The AKAI speaker set was manufactured by AKAI Electric, probably in the late 1980s. These speakers were likely part of an audio system. I found these speakers at an estate sale near my home. The speakers were not testable then, so I couldn’t determine if they worked. I took my chances and picked up these AKAI speakers.
I was disappointed when I opened the front cover. The speakers needed to be in better shape. The photo shows how badly the woofer is damaged. To my surprise, the sound was excellent. The woofers needed to be re-foamed, though. I ended up selling my AKAI speakers for parts.
